CHATEAU BARRAIL DU BLANC - ST EMILION GRAND CRU 2014

On the nose, Chateau Barrail du Blanc opens to a subtle nose of red fruits basket, raspberry, blackcurrant then earthy notes such as sandalwood, dry leaves, mild spices. The palate is elegant, with dark cherry, tar with a silky structure and a powerful final. It can be drunk now or cellared until 2023+. 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc.

CHATEAU MAGNAN LA GAFFELIERE - ST EMILION GRAND CRU 2019

The bouquet blossoms with plush ripe black cherry, plum and cassis, hints of violet, liquorice, mocha and espresso. The palate is fruit-forward with plum, blackberry and subtle notes of cassis, showing well-balanced freshness and tension with fine tannin structure.

Very compacted and dense with chewy and fine tannins. Full-bodied yet reserved and fine. Long finish. Big improvement here. 93-94 points, James Suckling. (2016 review)70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.

CHATEAU DE BEL-AIR - LALANDE DE POMEROL 2015

The 2015 Bel-Air is a very pretty, gracious wine. Bright red stone fruit, tobacco and floral notes give it aromatic lift and plenty of sensuality to match its midweight personality. All the elements are very nicely balanced throughout. Antonion Galloni, Vinous. 73% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon.

CHATEAU MAISON BLANCHE - MONTAGNE-ST-EMILION 2019

Classy Bordeaux from the hills overlooking St Emilion and Pomerol. It boasts a classic flavour of pencil lead, cedar and black fruits. There is something a bit like a Medoc wine that comes from the Cabernet Franc in the blend with Merlot but also undeniably charming and drinkable as St Emilion should be. 45% Merlot, 55% Cabernet Franc.

CHATEAU LA GRAVE FIGEAC - ST EMILION GRAND CRU 2018

Made from 80% Cabernet Franc and 20% Merlot, the 2018 La Grave-Figeac is deep garnet-purple coloured and wafts out of the glass with seductive Morello cherries, Black Forest cake and spice box scents with hints of Ceylon tea, roses and underbrush. Medium to full-bodied with loads of red and black fruit layers, it has a plush texture and oodles of freshness with a lifted finish. 90-92 points, Lisa Perrotti-Brown, WA. 20% Merlot, 80% Cabernet Franc.

HAUT ROC BLANQUANT - ST EMILION GRAND CRU 2015

The bouquet is full of bright, ruby red fruit and seductive cocoa powder and caramel roundness. The palate is powerful but silky, with red crunchy fruit and well-integrated, refined tannins. Drink now or up until 2025. 90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc.
